Our clients are generally those that want genuine independent advice to enable them to either achieve real financial independence or having achieved this to ensure it is maintained.
Our clients generally comprise business owners, professionals and directors and senior managers from larger companies, both pre and post retirement.
We do however also provide specialist advice to elderly clients in general, often where care provision is an issue.
We also provide advice to trustees of private and charitable trusts
We provide a financial planning rather than product selling service and as a result we look to charge fees for our services and advice.
Our hourly rate for advisers is currently £180/hour and £80/hour for administrator time.
For the majority of clients we are happy to agree a fixed fee rather than charge on an hourly basis.
Our process is to provide an initial review and analysis of clients current situation and wishes. Once this is agreed we follow up with a financial plan tailored to the client, on how to move forward. Again once agreed we provide specific recommendations where regulated products are part of the agreed solution. Finally we agree a schedule of regular financial planning meetings where clients specific financial plans are reviewed and adapted as necessary.
Where part of our recommendation may generate a commission payment we are happy to offset commission up to the level of our agreed fees in lieu of those fees. If clients prefer to pay the fees directly wherever possible we will use the potential commission to enhance the terms on which the product is purchased either by increasing the level of funds available for investment or by reducing the cost of the plan.
Stuart Jefferies has been providing tailored independent financial advice for over 20 years, much of this time has been with larger institutions but the increasing pressure to sell product rather than provide appropriate financial advice led him to set up Singular Financial Planning Ltd. where he could concentrate on providing "real" financial advice to a relatively small number of clients who want to work with him and with whom he is happy to work.
Stuart has a wife (Heather), three Springer spaniels, one cat, two chickens and a share in about seven beef cattle, 40 sheep and 6 rare breed pigs.
These together with the results of his fishing and shooting provide almost all of the meat his family eat.
