Our first speaker for this month’s meeting will give you excellent insight into the work of Paraplanners and their benefit, together with a number of extremely useful Financial Planning tips. Martin Vaughan has worked in financial services for over 20 years, initially as an adviser and for the last 12 years as a Paraplanner and technical consultant.
In 2008 he set up an outsourced Paraplanning company to provide highly technical, highly bespoke suitability reports and financial plans to discerning Financial Planners and Advisers along with training and consultancy services. In addition to working within his company, he has been instrumental in writing and creating the Paraplanner qualifications for the IFP and CII; he was the Paraplanning industry expert for the FSSC; co-founded the paraplanner.com and was awarded the IFP Tony Sellon memorial award in 2010 for his work.
He is a regular contributor to the financial press and is often asked to comment on industry matters and speak at national conferences and events.
Our second speaker, Graeme Price, of UBS Wealth Management, will show you how cashflows and lending, as risk modeling tools can enhance solutions for your clients and their affairs.
Graeme is head of the Strategic Partnerships Team at UBS, which deals solely with selected Financial Planning professionals. Graeme has spent 25 years within the financial services sector, in a variety of roles, having started in accountancy, before working in both direct sales and as an IFA. He then spent 17 years working in the Life company sector covering a wide range of sales roles. He joined UBS in 2007, with responsibility for the identification of strategic partners, consulting with them to complement and enhance their existing business models and value propositions. Graeme has spoken at numerous IFP events up and down the country on a wide range of topics. He will be delighted for you all to interact and ask questions.
