Preparation day
This workshop is designed for people who are familiar with the Financial Planning process and methodology and want to fine tune or test their skills in preparation for submitting their CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM certification case study.
What you'll get out of it
The objective of the Preparation day is:
- to help you to understand and be able to meet the CFPCM certification standards;
- to enable you to practice the preparation of a financial plan;
At the end of the Preparation day, each candidate should be able to judge whether they are ready to enter a financial plan for assessment or whether further practice or training is required. In most cases it's hoped that candidates will feel ready to proceed to assessment.
The day is built around a client case study (in keeping with the CFPCM certification case study) with delegates working in small groups addressing a number of key questions regarding the client’s situation. The point of the exercise is to test the delegate’s abilities to construct answers that will meet the standards required for successful completion of the CFPCM certification. With this in mind, the workshop facilitator will ensure that delegates understand how to produce answers that will meet the standards required.
