IFP UNIVERSITY TEAM CHALLENGE 2009

In association with Seven Investment Management 

Last year, the IFP developed an exciting new initiative to support the learning of the young Financial Planners of tomorrow.  It is now time to launch the 2009 IFP University Team Challenge.   
 
In 2006, IFP entered into a partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) to offer the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERcm (CFP) Fast Track Assessment to those students undertaking the Financial Services honours degree course. As part of this ongoing support IFP, in association with Seven Investment Management (7IM), successfully arranged a University Team Challenge event earlier this year for the students.  This involved the students developing a financial plan similar to that assessed under the CFP process.
 
On the 15 July the winning team and their mentor attended a formal presentation at the London Stock Exchange. The winning students received a trophy and a prize of £2,500, a sum that reflects the value 7IM as sponsor of this award, places on its efforts to educate Financial Planners of the future.
 
Do you know a team who could meet the challenge?

This year we are looking for teams of up to four students who will develop a financial plan based on a case study. The IFP will be able to provide Financial Planning mentors for the teams. 
The closing date for submissions of the plans is 31 March 2009. The entries will be judged and finalists invited to present to a panel of judges during May.
