Our Mission To build and maintain the profession of Financial Planning for the benefit of consumers in the UK. Why was the Institute formed? The Institute was formed for the following key reasons: - To promote the profession and practice of Financial Planning.
- To encourage education in the theory and practice of Financial Planning.
- To increase public awareness of the need for Financial Planning.
- To establish a Registry of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certified practitioners.
- To create a recognised professional qualification for Institute members.
- To ensure professional standards through Practice Standards for CFP® Professionals.
- To ensure ethical standards through its Code of Ethics and Code of Practice.
- To encourage the sharing of professional knowledge and skills within the members network to benefit the client.
