Did you miss the London IFP July meeting?

Short 5 min video of edited clips below -

How one adviser achieves tremendous success working with a business coach Nicola Down, Trentham Invest & David Scarlett, The Adviser Gym

There is a World Cup Semi-Final on the evening of our next meeting, and England could be in it. So for July we are going to start earlier than normal: 4.30 pm for a 5.00 pm start. We will aim to finish the formal part of our evening by 6.30 pm when we can network as normal. For those that need to rush home to see the match, don’t! Join us instead. UBS have booked the private room above the Red Lion pub, just round the corner, and we can adjourn there for a World Cup party.

Now, about our meeting:

Some of the most successful advisers and business owners I know  are working with business coaches and advisers. Their names are familiar; Brett Davison, David Scarlett, Dan Sullivan, and several more. I am a huge advocate and there is rarely a stage in my development where I am not working with a coach.

I am conscious however that inviting a business coach to stand and talk only gives us their side of the story. I’m equally interested in hearing from people on my side of the table talking about how working with an external adviser has helped their business, or not!

That’s why this month I have invited Nicola Down to talk about the journey she has taken whilst partnering with business coach David Scarlett.

I’m impressed with Nicola’s business; first impressions are important and from the moment I looked at her website I could see that Nicola runs a very unique business. The image was reinforced when I called her office, and when I finally put through to her I could see why her clients were so generous with their praise. It wasn’t just that Nicola and her team exuded professionalism, they all came across as a warm and friendly people, particularly Nicola – just what you want from an adviser.

Nicola will talk about the way she and David work together, the bits that have worked the best and some of the bits that haven’t worked out quite so well. She’s derived huge benefits working with a coach, but for various reasons, not everything turns to gold.

David will be providing the science behind the individual business strategies and initiatives he has been working with, and why some work better than others.  He’ll also be talking about one or two other things he’s working on right now, including his IFA Marketing Manifesto.

I’m really looking forward to this month’s meeting. After talking to Nicola and David on the phone I know that this will be another tremendous meeting.
