Case study session
Main meeting
A CFP professional assessment study group session will take place at 16.00 before each branch meeting
The IFP are delighted to announce that they have reacted to the requests from the membership to provide
1. more assistance in the preparation for the CFP
2. more assistance for those that have already completed the CFP to apply it in their working lives
3. a framework for members to keep their Financial Planning skills as sharp as possible
The Kent & Sussex region has agreed to test the concept and I have allocated 1.5 hours before each meeting for this opportunity. Study Group sessions will start at 4:00pm with the main branch meeting starting at 6pm.
Over 7 sessions we will dissect a complex case study seeking to identify all technical areas, Financial Planning areas, soft skills areas and ethics and link these competing elements tighter with an evolving cashflow model. This will form a fantastic grounding for those wishing to sit the CFP, an excellent chance for post CFPs to test their analytic skills alongside their branch colleagues and some high quality CPD. There is no preparatory work required as all the tools and information you need is covered in the sessions.
The training will be provided by AXA’s financial planning support division. In addition to the training AXA will be providing sandwiches for those that attend (free for the first 20 people to confirm attendance). These will be served at 5.30 pm to help recharge you batteries for the rest of the meeting which start at 6pm.
