The CFPCM certification is a twelve week process, starting once you receive your case study and must be submitted to FPSB (UK) before the end of the twelfth week ready for assessment.
Selecting your case study
For your chosen case study you will be required to deal with three technical areas in detail. If you choose a pre‐retired case study, one of the technical areas must be Personal Risk Management and Insurance. You must also briefly mention any other issues which are relevant to the clients.

Candidate options
Option 1: 12 Week home study option (£75.00 for the case study + £150.00 assessment fee upon submission)
Candidates need to purchase their case study and will have 12 weeks to produce a financial plan. Candidates will need to be prepared to integrate an average of 70 hours of coursework into their daily lives. Once candidates are ready to submit their plan, they will need to pay a further £150.00 assessment fee - on submission.
Option 2: Assessment Session (£75 for the case study + £200.00 for the session, which includes the assessment fee)
Candidates purchase their case study and once again will have 12 weeks to produce their financial plan. However, included in this option is a two-day session which allows candidates to come along and work on their financial plan without any distractions - and then hand it in for assessment at the end of the two days. There will be a maximum of five peopler per session, along with printing, laptop and internet access facilities available. This option includes the assessment fee, but does not include accomodation.
