Paraplanner

It has been widely acknowledged that the Paraplanner represents one of the key roles within the Financial Planning business. Properly defined and supported, it  can provide the foundation to build a profitable and progressive business. The IFP has recognised the need to provide the training and qualification structure to enable these important people to be able to flourish within the profession.

The IFP has spent several years consulting on and understanding the role of the paraplanner so that it can be properly structured within a forward thinking Financial Planning firm. The parpalanner role may be broken down into four key parts:

• Preparing and maintaining the client file
• Preparing recommendations
• Implementing recommendations
• Review

As a paraplanner you will need to receive the training require to do the job. You will also need to have the appropriate qualifications to be recognised by your clients and peers for the job that you do.

Having defined the role the competences have also been set out showing the knowledge skills and professional standards that are needed to properly fulfil the role.

PARAPLANNER EXAM WORKSHOP

Paraplanners not only provide crucial support to Financial Planners but they help to ensure that the overall Financial Planning process is as smooth and effective as possible for the clients of the firm.

Exclusive to the IFP this two day workshop is based around the job competences of a Paraplanner.  Refreshingly, it moves away from the more traditional technical content.  It provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of the Financial Planning process and more particularly, skills required to successfully fulfil the role of a Paraplanner within a Financial Planning business and embark on the Certificate in Paraplanning.

This unique workshop is highly interactive with delegates being encouraged to take the opportunity to learn from each other during the various group based activities.  A suitable period has been allowed between each workshop to ensure delegates can put into practice their new found skills under supervision.

CERTIFICATE IN PARAPLANNING

This online exam is ideal for Paraplanners who wish to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competence by obtaining a recognised Paraplanning qualification. The qualification is also an ideal step towards obtaining CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^CM certification – the global standard of excellence in Financial Planning – for those who wish to follow this path.

The IFP offers a range of options for candidates to maximise flexibility and to ensure that each candidate can access the combination which is most appropriate their own individual needs. Candidates booking the full package will be entitled to a discount compared to the full cost of the individual component parts.
