The IFP

What do we do?

The Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) was created over 20 years ago to help people recognise the value of Financial Planning and promote the benefits of using a Financial Planner to consumers in the UK.

The IFP is committed to maintaining and developing the high standards of Financial Planning and we do this through ensuring our members adhere to strict regulations that make sure they are professional, knowlegable and trustworthy.

We do not offer any advice ourselves but we are the exclusive licensing authority for the CFPCM certification and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM mark and which is an internationally recognised certification awarded to individuals who fulfil the stringent requirements and have been appropriately tested. A CFP professional is someone you can be sure has completed a high level of qualification. The IFP certifies, upholds and monitors the professional standards of CFP practitioners to ensure that you are being given the best possible advice.

The best Financial Planning results come from working with a CFP professional.
